Who is Karen Page?

Good Question! Well, Karen is Karyl Garbow's twin sister. And who is Karyl Garbow? Anyone knowing anything about Appliance sales in Arizona knows that Karyl was the Miele Appliance Rep.

Karyl is the one who introduced me to my first cup of great coffee from a Miele Coffee System and she's the one I called when I had a question about any Miele product.  Karyl then moved on to Noble Distributors where she gave the greatest demos on the AGA range. I can go on, but back to Karen.

Karen was a 2X Breast Cancer Survivor but lost her battle July, 2009. Throughout her last challenge, she continued to do what she did best . . . coach tennis at Hope College in Holland, Michigan.  A tribute was written about Karen in the Hope College Press Release.  Please click here to read it.

The Karen Page Scholarship Fund was started in 2009 to offer a scholarship to a local student in health care. The Scholarship is offered through Sing 4 Life Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization.

To raise monies for this Scholarship, we are offering a pink T-shirt with an original work of art entitled "Every Woman" by Arzu Demir, an artist from Turkey.

The back of the T-shirt has the "Sing for Life" logo showing 7 black musical notes and 1 pink note depicting that 1 out of every 8 women will get breast cancer.

The shirts are 100% cotton, pre-shrunk,  with narrow ribbed neck and double stitching on the sleeve and bottom hem. The shirts are cut full, not fitted and are available in M, L, XL and XXL. Larger sizes are available upon request.  Note:  Please order 1 size larger than you normally wear since the shirts run small.

If you would like to support the Karen Page Scholarship Fund, please call Nancy at 602-469-6231 or email Nancy@nancyhugo.com to order your shirts at $25 each plus $5 shipping.

A portion of all proceeds goes to the Sing 4 Life Breast Cancer Foundation which was started by Laura Fial, a local jazz singer and 2X survivor.

We would like to thank Laura and Sing 4 Life Breast Cancer Foundation  for partnering with us and to you for supporting this scholarship fund in Karen's memory.
